Article of the Day: More DiselGate News, More Engines were Affected
More bad news for Volkswagen, as 3 anonymous insiders have reported to Reuters that the company modified the emissions defeat device to work on at least 4 engines over the 7 years that the company admitted to cheated. If this is true then the cheat suggests strongly that a much larger group of employees made an ongoing effort to continue the deception then Volkswagen says. Volkswagen has repeatedly has denied reports that more than a few managers and upper staff had any knowledge of these devices, but if the Reuters report is true then Volkswagen's claims would be hard to believe.
