Article of the Day: Lexus To Introduce Self-Driving Features by 2020

Lexus announced that they will have a highway-ready self-driving car on the road by 2020. What that means is that the car would be fully self-driving, but only on highways where it is much more simple and easier to handle. The car would merge, exit, take curves, and overtake slower vehicles, all autonomously. Lexus has already premiered a non-commercial self-driving car at CES, a version of it's 2013 Lexus LS. There would of course be a button in order to take manual control on the highway. Lexus is currently testing out this technology, their Automated Highway Driving Assist, in Japan. Lexus currently has no plans for a full version self-driving car, only this Highway Driving Assist feature. Would you like to just sleep on the highway and wake up in a new city, have your car drive you there? Or do you think you'd rather drive yourself? Write in the comments below.
