Article of the Day: Huge Mazda Recall

Mazda has confirmed that it is recalling up to 1.37 Million older vehicles for ignition switch shortages, vehicles going as far back as the 1980's. The models include the 90-95 323, 93-98 626,93-95 929, 89-98 MPV, 93-97 MX-6, 92-93 MX-3, and the 90-98 Protégé. Mazda says that over time the grease around the switch's contact points can carbonize and become conductive, which can eventually lead to a short circuit. There have been no accidents, injuries, or fires in the US reported. And once the vehicle is running, the potential fault doesn't affect drivability. The recall will begin in December. Lot of recalls these last few weeks, you'd think they would be more careful. What do you think? Tell us in the comments below.
