Article of the Day:Teens are Still Bad Drivers

Even though fatalities among teen drivers are at the lowest point in decades, a new study shows that they still aren't good drivers. After an intense group of surveys, it is shown that 89% of teens consider themselves safe drivers, but among this group 71% of them admit to speeding. After a year or longer on the road, 47% report going too fast, versus 28% who have been on the road only 6 months or so. Also, a survey of 1,000 parents showed that only 38% of them thought that their kids sped. Some other scary statistics are 36% of teens admitting to driving aggresively, 31% of them reported road rage as well. The biggest tools to combat these hazards are parental guidance and experience, reports the study by Liberty Mutual Insurance and Students Against Destructive Decisions. What do you think, were you a bad driver as a teen? Tell us in the comments below.
