Article of the Day: Top Ten Car Technologies from Space Exploration

Bit confusing title, but this article is all about the coolest car technologies and inventions that came from space exploration. Very interesting field of study, so many technological advancements have came because of Nasa and such. Not just space shuttles and cool helmets! Some of the things that space exploration has invented and are now used for cars include fuel cells, flame retardent fabric (For Nascar suits and etc..), carbon fiber for the shells and frame, gold foil heat shields for the McLaren F1 engine (the gold foil stuff was used most famously for the moon landers). Even the cool heads up display technology that is recently making it's way to cars now is from space exploration, originally from fighter jets. But the biggest one that I'm sure you've all used is GPS, originally developed solely by the United States for the Air Force, was developed using satellites via the space program. Neat stuff, be sure to check out the whole list and all the details in the link below. What do you think the next big car technology will be? Write in the comment section below.
