Article of the Day: Car to Car Video

Google has recently patented a way of having cars able to 'see' from the viewpoint of other cars. Basically each car would be equipped with a front-facing camera and a radar transmitter. For example, a car can come across an obstruction in the road, perhaps a huge tree branch. Then the car can automatically record as it happens, tag it with descriptive metadata, and send it to all other equipped cars in the area to view, most likely on the center console. Thus the drivers would be aware of the danger and know to slow down, or possibly take an alternate route. This technology could also be used for passing on a two-lane road, to be able to see what is ahead. What do you think about this, would you have it as an option? Write in the comments below.
