Article of the Day: More Toyota Recalls
Toyota has just recalled 1.6M cars to replace their passenger-side Takata airbag inflators, in Japan and Europe. There will be no recalls in the US for these issues. The recall campaign will cover 22 vehicles from the Japanese market, ranging from the Corolla to the Vitz, with manufacturing dates between January 2004 and December 2005. This recall will also affect Italy, Britain, and Spain. Toyota needs to repair up to 15 million vehicles worldwide in order to replace their Takata inflators across their campaigns. The Takata exploding inflators are allegedly responsible for 8 deaths and nearly 100 injuries so far, and they are in an estimated 19.2 Million vehicles in the US, though only 3 Million US models need to be repaired. Just another in a long string of recalls. Have you had a car recalled? Tell us in the comment section below.
